• Quay Trailers Ltd., has changed its name to Doughty Trailers Ltd. and to mark the move the company has introduced a special-offer range of singleand tandem-axle semi-trailers, for a period of three months only, which will be known as the Celebration Range.
Two units are included in the range. the single-axle version being a 28ft-long, 24-ton g.v.w. flat bed and the tandem a 33ft-long, 30-ton g.v.w. flat bed. The brake specifications are 16.5in. by 8.625in, on the single-axle unit and 16. 51n. by 7in on the tandem.
Full-length rubber madflaps, 1.25in. longi tudinally boarded hardwood flooring and I-beam cross-members pitched at 24in. centres with flush-mounted side raves and a 24in. plywood lined headboard are standard features. The main frames are 16in. deep by 5 5in wide I-beams and the models will cost, for the single-axle vehicle £700, and for the tandem-axle vehicle £1,000. Delivery will be three to four weeks from the date of order.
