A NEW three-weekly container service between the West Coast of North America and Australia is to be jointly operated by Associated Container Transportation and the Swedish Transatlantic Company.
The service will be known as the Pacific/ Australia Direct Line (PAD Line) and will be operated with three ships. ACT will provide one, and Swedish Transatlantic the other two. The vessels will be 20,000 ton, 22 knot, roll-on/roll-off types.
