• "Corporate planning for the 1970s" is the title of a high-level course for senior transport management, which is to be held from February 6 to 8 next year. It is being organized by Residential Revision and Development Courses, 16 Uxbridge Road, Hampton, Middx., the director-general being Mr. John F. Hooper.
The course is residential (at Aldermaston Court. Aldermaston. Berks.) and the inclusive fee is £50. Five principal subjects will be covered: Corporate planning, by Mr. Charles Stuart of British Air Services; economic planning, by Mr. E. Price, chief economic adviser. MoT: financial planning. by Mr. Philip S. Henman, lately chairman of TDG: technical planning, by Mr. John DicksonSimpson, Transport Press Services; and manpower planning, by Mr. R. Blows and Mr. N. Fewer accidents
• Road accidents in Great Britain in 1968— the first year of the breath tester—declined by 20,000. For Northern Ireland, however, it was the worst year of all for road accidents and casualties.
