Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

and have not worked since. I have been told by my doctor to forget about my WV licence. I am an owner-driver, or was, and! have been told that I must wait another 10 months for an operation I need.

To make matters worse, my insurance was terminated by Sun Alliance only two weeks previously.! have had a policy arranged by the the Road Haulage Association's insurance arm covering me for sickness and loss of LGV since 1990. Sun Alliance terminated it without any reason on my part.

Sun Alliance has refused to entertain any claim. RHA Insurance Services and the RHA say they can do nothing. Sun Alliance actually helped itself to a further premium, but returned it later.

Does this need to be the end? T Wright Manchester Tam writing with lreference to the article titled Irlam loses £0.5m after investigation, (CM 12-18 August), along with tales every week of haulage firms being prosecuted for drivers failing to hand in tachograph charts.

No matter how many vehicles a haulier may operate, tacho cards should be handed in to be checked weekly, so that management can keep a close eye on their drivers' movement& James Warn & Sons' drivers had at least three weeks of charts outstanding, I consider that to be bad management, not only of drivers, but in general. If drivers know they can have tacho cards lying around for weeks, what incentive is there to behave in the professional manner that is expected of them?
