TRANSPORT Development Group Ltd increased its profits from £3,542,000 to £4,520,000 the first six months of this year, compared with the same period last year.

Road haulage contribution to profit before tax improved from £3,212,000 to £4,321,000; storage and other transport services rose from £3,191,000 to £4,117,000; exhibitions and reinforcement produced £521,000 profit against £561,000 last year.

Better results came from the Australian subsidiaries — £1,061,000 against £827,000 in profit contribution before tax.
