ON the eve of his retirement, Mr. A. Robertson, Scottish Deputy Licensing Authority, heard an application for 17 additional vehicles on A licence. The hearing, lasting three days, was concluded in Aberdeen, last week, and featured Charles Alexander and Partners (Transport), Ltd., Aberdeen, as applicants. Mr. Robertson made the proviso that eight of them were to be used solely on maintenance and that the remainder were to compensate for a loss in carrying capacity.
