Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN 1926 Messrs. Davies Bros., of 18, Alexandra Road, Bedford, patented a design of detachable radiator tube, the firm having been pioneers in the exploitation Of this type of component, the value of which is, to a rapidly increasing extent being appreciated by commercial-motor users.

The radiators are marketed under the name of Conquest and the square-gilled or round-gilled tubes bed into rubberwasher-lined brass ferrules, which are soldered to the top and bottom tube plates. The tubes are held secure by the Washers, and a perfect joint is made by a suitable amount of vultanization, which takes' place between the rubber and the tube.

We are, however, assured that in no case has difficulty arisen, in connection with tube retnoval, imiingto' excessive ' vulcanization of the joints.

By bringing a special grip into use the tubes may easily be removed. First they are pushed upward until their lower ends are clear of the brass cups. After easing the tubes in a downward direction, they may be drawn out.

Every Conquest radiator, tube-stack and tube-stack conversion that is manufactured or carried out by Messrs. Davies Bros. is covered, for a period of three years, by a guarantee. Conversions can he carried out at prices ranging from £4 10s. to £8 8s., whilst for new tube-stacks the charges vary between £8 and 114. Conquest radiators can be supplied for £21 10s., £22 and £23 10s.

Many important concerns operating large fleets use this make of tube the names include McNamara and Co., Ltd., Kneller and Chandler, Ltd., and the Southern Railway Co.
