BELGIAN PETROLEUM tank manufacturer Lag has introduced a quick-release body-mount system that cuts the amount of time it takes to remove a body from up to two days to just an hour.
A system of eight quick-release bolts replaces 16 bolts used to fit a body to the chassis frame.
Bob Wales, a fitter with Leedsbased WTS, a UK agent for Lag, says: “You can now take the body off a seven-year-old truck and put it on a new chassis. The body has a service life of 15 years, so you can use the body on another chassis.”
