The aim of both initiatives is to cut the numbers killed or injured on UK roads while driving for work. The accident toll currently averages 150 vehicles per week.

The campaign will start in September and run until 2009, with an initial focus on van drivers and home deliveries. The sub3 .5-ton ne sector has been chosen because it is the most rapidly expanding, with a net increase of 170,000 vehicles per year.
