• Truoldest organiser Live Promotions insists that haulier Stan Robinson has changed his mind about attending the event—even though the man himself says this is not the case.
Robinson, in common with most of the major manufacturers, pulled out of the event in March because of the foot-and-mouth crisis. He said at the time that the transport industry should be seen trying to contain the disease.
• Foot and mouth has put paid to a number of trucking events, including the following: the Torbay Truck Show, which was scheduled for 16 June—the organisers stress it will be back next year; the [RE society REY's two main events at Banbury and the Bridge of Allan; the Shropshire Truck Show, scheduled for 27/28 May.
