Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

One of the four vehicles run by Widnes international haulier Eugene Marsh, trading as JK ----I Transport, has been suspended for a week by North Western Traffic Commissioner Beverley Bell. She had adjourned an earlier hearing while evidence was collected.

The TC had heard that one vehicle had been used while not taxed. It was alleged that it had not been taxed until May as it had been kept on the Continent for the previous nine months ( CM15-21March).

When the hearing resumed, vehicle exam

iner David Collings said that an untaxed vehicle, alleged to be kept outside the country, had been brought back to Bromborough for its annual test. He found it surprising that it had not simply been tested in Dover. However, since Marsh had realised that a vehicle working in Dover docks had to be taxed, all his vehicles had been taxed accordingly

"There is no point in keeping vehicles abroad any more," Marsh told the TC. He gave an undertaking that he would not re-employ his son, whom he described as "headstrong", and promised to send tachograph records for professional analysis.
