• Hope's Scrutineer vehicle air brake and Wing test unit is now available with an integral brake response timer (OBI), including a data logger print unit for verification and accounting.
The Scrutineers functions also include remote lighting checks; pressure tests of pneumatic valve operation and settings; and braking system mechanical checks. The timer measures reaction time from bulkhead to rearmost brake chamber, checks circuit pressure and tests the load sensor setting. Using previous results as a comparison it can give early warning of sluggish valve operation or other faults.
The system records vehicle and trailer details; it can print this data or transfer it to a PC. It can also be adapted to interrogate EBS brake systems.
