sales 'soon'
• Two long-awaited sales of transport industry companies are expected very soon.
Hawker Siddeley's sale of L Gardner and Son (probably to Perkins) is likely to be announced first. A Hawker Siddeley spokesman said: "We expect to make an announcement in the next couple of days, though I have been saying that for a few weeks now. I don't know what has caused the delay, but we expect an announcement very soon."
At TIP Trailer Rental, the predicted management buyout will be announced before the end of May. Jim Cleary, T1P's European managing director confirms.
