• The third list of recipients of the Queen's • Award to Industry, which recognizes out • standing achievement by British industry • either in increasing exports or in techno • logical innovation, or both, was announced • on April 21, the Queen's actual birthday. The 1968 list includes 85 recipients and among those engaged in the commercial vehicle • • field are the following: Chloride Electrical • Storage Co. Ltd. (battery manufacturing • equipment): Jones Cranes Ltd. ;cranes and
• steel castings): Powell Duffryn Ltd. (excavators, cranes, pumps and compressors): Rolls-Royce Ltd. (engines, cars and nuclear propulsion units). Rolls-Royce were also Award winners in 1966 and 1967.
