Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MATIONAL recovery is reflected in I N the huge number of holidaymakers at Easter, this year, and coach operators obtained a reasonable share of the heavy traffic. Indeed, the orderliness and comfort of road travel contrasted strongly with the unsatisfactory conditions on the railways. where the seat-reservation " racket" has reached such a pitch that many passengers who do not book in advance are forced to stand for hours in overheated, crawling trains—often in the guard's van.

The London coach stations always provide a ready guide to the condition of coach travel, and the King's Cross Coach Station reports excellent business, On Tuesday afiernoon, it was estimated that the traffic figures for Easter of last year had been exceeded, just as in 1934 the results for 1933 were well surpassed.

The London Terminal . Coach Station found that the traffic was up to the usual level, all services being well booked. The night coaches to South Wales on Thursday of last week were full, whilst heavy loads were carried in the reverse direction. Tours, on the other hand, were not patronized quite so extensively as at Easter of last year.

London Coastal Coaches, Ltd., experienced heavy bookings in all directions.

The closeness of the Easter and Jubilee holidays raises the interesting question of how the traffic on the latter occasion will be affected by the former. Operators are wondering whether persons who went on holiday at Easter will take leave again a fortnight later, whether many people will wish to leave London during the celebrations, and whether there will be a particularly big influx of visitors to the Metropolis.
