FINE WORDS from Geoff Dossetter of the FTA (CM 28 August), but I tend to agree with Andrew Simmonds.
All the meetings and lobbying and the only result is the two pence per litre increase being scrapped (which would probably would have been scrapped anyway, following the 30p per litre price increase).
Our trade associations appear to be no more than "toothless tigers".
