WHATW1LL be next? The industry is facing fuel price probIerns, strikes and blockades from other industries and God knows what else these day& Companies are preparing for the introduction of the Working Time Directive which, in my opinion, contravenes human rights.
As a 25-year-old Class I driver, I feel that a 48-hour week is not a full working week. I know the office boys would disagree, along with the govern ment, but we all have different views! Now they are on about this CPC course for drivers which will be compulsory for everyone (CM11 September). Excuse me, but I passed my Class 1 nearly six years ago and I have a bit of paper to prove it.
Doesn't experience count as on-the-job training in transport? !may be considered young within our industry but I am still a professional!
