HENLEY pump manufacturer Stuart Turner has brought out a new model — Stuart Type 252 — to replace its 25/2 pump, as part of its policy to rationalise pump production.

The new pump is smaller and lighter and cost no more than is predecessor.

The pump body is pressure die cast in brass.

A permanent capacitor type motor has been incorporated to permit more starts per hour than was previously possible.

The back plate, mounting plate and seal are all now interchangeable with similar components from other recently redesigned Stuart models.

Stuart is quoting minimum performance figures for the Type 253 at 1,750 gallons per hour at loft head and 250 gph at a 42ft head. Motor size is 0.5hp or 0.75hp when pumps are supplied for a 60 cycles supply. Overall dimensions are 27.2 x 7.2 x 16.6cm and weight is 8.8kg (19.41b).
