GROUND ROCK salt is now available in pre-packed form from B.F.C. Packed Products. This product has been specially developed by ICI to meet the practical size requirements of a winter maintenance salt and it complies with British Standard 3247 in this respect. The salt has a balance of fine particles for rapid initial melting action combined with slow dissolving coarse particles for continued melting over a period. The salt is treated with an anti-caking agent and it will keep without deterioration for several years if necessary.
The ground rock salt is strongly packed in 25kg or 50kg polythene sacks and, it is claimed, can be stored quite safely out of doors until required.
