A NEW anti-waxing additive for diesel fuel has been produced by Chalbar Ltd of 247/249 Watling Street, Radlett.

Known as Econosol Auto-D AG — the 'AG' stands for 'Anti Gel' — it is claimed to provide protection down to a temperatu re of —16°C (3°F).

Added in advance to bulk fuel supplies or to the vehicle's own fuel tank at a dosage rate of one part to 200, the product is claimed to be suitable for lorry, agricultural tractor and private car diesel engines as well as heating oil supplies.

Another Chalbar product, Econosol Auto-D Wintergrade is a combined anti-waxing additive and a combustion improver which is claimed to offer not only frost protection but also smoother running, reduced smoke levels and an improvement in fuel consumption.
