D. C. V. Lanfear, 39, general manager of the motor division of Rubery, Owen and Co Ltd has been appointed a director. Mr Lanfear started with the company as an engineering apprentice in 1946.

Roy Ledward, 46, previously assistant traffic manager of the Midland area for National Carriers Ltd, becomes depot manager of Lawley Street, Birmingham. Allan Heckles, 48, office manager at Liverpool since 1969. moves to depot manager at Warrington.
0. Secher, for some time deputy divisional managing director of Albright and Wilson Ltd, has been appointed managing director of the company's Marchon division. D. J. W. Anthony becomes managing director of the Olbury division; he has been marketing director of the division since 1967.
Gordon Bain, assistant divisional sales manager for the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co (Great Britain) Ltd at Leicester for the past two years, has been appointed manager, distributor sales, truck tyre department at the company's Wolverhampton hq. H. Merrick Roocroft, British Railways divisional freight sales representative in Liverpool, has been appointed area manager at Coventry.
M. Glyn Jones, formerly midland regional sales manager for British Aluminium Co Ltd, has been appointed general sales manager (transport). J. E. Grounds, H. M. Southall and P. D. Simmons, the regional transport sales managers, and P. J. Kyne, transport group marketing manager, will report to Mr Glyn Jones. The posts Of southern, midland and northern regional sales managers are abolished.
Walter Lawrence, 57, Aberdeen corporation transport traffic superintendent, in addition becomes deputy general manager with effect from October 1. The present deputy, W. Dobbie, becomes general manager of Lincoln City Transport on that date.
