• David Gilmour. of Kirkintilloch, amended an 0 application at Glasgow last week from four vehicles and four trailers including three vehicles and three trailers to be acquired, to two vehicles and two trailers including one vehicle and one trailer to be acquired. Mr Gilmour operates one vehicle on Contract A licence for Alexander Russell Ltd, of Glasgow, and proposes to continue such operation. Russell, a large-scale public works contractors, requires increased transport for contracts which are pending.
The Scottish deputy Licensing Authority, Mr H. R. Aylmer, said that the information he had was that maintenance left something to be desired. He granted a two-year 0 licence for the existing vehicle.
