Us! a written decision the'West Midland Traffic Commissioners have made a imited grant to Midland Red in respect )f the company's application to vary a .icence authorizing the operation of a group of extended tours from Bearwood. Birmingham, by adding a new nine-day our to the Western Highlands and the sic of Skye. Midland Red are already tuthorized to provide such a tour from -eicester with a catchment area in the 'Last Midland traffic area and this tour tas drawn some traffic from districts vithin the normal catchment area of the West Midland licence.

The application was opposed by Worthington Motor Tours Ltd., who are licensed and have operated a similar tour. drawing on the same West Midlancl.catchment area.

The Commissioners decided to make a limited grant for 1965 only, on the terms that this tour may be operated outwards on six occasions between July 3 and August 28, with not more than one vehicle on each occasion and no passengers to be picked up after leaving Stratford.
