Princesway, Team Volley, Gores/read-on-Tyne, II FIVE models from this concern's comprehensive range of battery-electric vehicles for dairy, bakery and general delivery purposes are featured. The latest is the Smith's S.95D Dairy Truck, which is of new design, having a moulded reinforced plastics dome and front scuttle. The body is of composite construction and is designed for largecapacity local delivery. 1.oad capacity is 2/2.5 tons.

The S.75D Dairy Truck is of all-reinforced plastics construction, has sliding cab doors and also the new moulded cab dome. A special feature is a plastics compartment for the storage of dairy produce and provisions. The third dairy vehicle shown by SMith's is the S.55D, which has a 20-crate reinforced plastics deck and sliding cab doors. As This last model is under 16 cwt. unladen, it can be operated by an unaccompanied learner driver.

Two versions of the Smith's Commuter model complete the exhibits. These are the CG.65 bakery van, which is also of plastics construction and is the up-to-date version of the original " walk-through" vehicle introduced by Smith's some 12 years ago. The example shown has bread shelves and confectionery trays. A recessed step at the rear facilitates customer entry through glared quarter doors. The second van is the CG.55, which can be used for any type of local delivery work. It has easy access through sliding cab doors into a full-height, walk-through cab.
