ANEWCOMER to the Commercial -Motor Show, Austin

Crompton Parkinson, is making ,a feature of the recently developed forward-sliding cab doors used on two of the Morrison-Flectricar vehicles on display. The doors have large windows which match the depth of the windscreen and, when open, they lie flat • against the screen and lower interior panel. The pillars are sufficiently narrow that little obstruction is caused to forward vision of the driver.

The two models having these doors are the D/Fg dairy vehicle and the D/Fg bakery van. The dairy model has a 25-cwt. load capacity, whilst the bakery van can tarry a 20-ewi. payload. The latter exhibit has a container-type body by Locomotors Ltd., Andover, framed and panelled in alloy and reinforced-plastics sheet. At the nearside there is a sliding door giving access to a forward tray compartment, whilst the rear has a tailboard and hinged flap providing access to sloping shelves.

There are two other exhibits on the stand, these being the D5 dairy vehicle for medium-range use with a 20-crate deck and the F/Fg dairy vehicle for long-range use with a 28-crate deck.
