GAIN points of interest on the Bedford Stand are the new FIA6 and S.-cwt. vans, one of each type being own, and the end-to-end water. flow system announced -it week for the Bedford 330-cu.-in, diesel engine. The HA ns, which have a 1,057-c.c, petrol engine arid allnchromesh, four-speed gearbox, were described and road ited in the August 21 issue of The Commercial Motor.

Making its debut with them at the Show is the latest version of the CA15/17 cwt. light van, the Mark 2.

A sectioned model of the end-to-end, water-flow, 330cu-in, engine is featured; this unit will be fitted to four of the Bedford exhibits. These include a normal-control 7tonner with a wheelbase of 10 ft. fitted. with an all-steel tipping body and underfloor gear by Telehoist; a 12-ft. II-in.-wheelbase, normal-control 7-tanner with an all-steel bodj, and underfloor gear by Autolift; a 7.5-ton, 13-ft. 11-in. wheelbase, TK drop-side lorry fitted with a factorybuilt Bedford body, and an 8-ft,-wheelbase. TK tractive unit with a load rating of 12 tons. Another newcomer to the Show is a Bedford-Boughton 6 X 4, which incorporates a double-drive conversion by Reynolds Boughton and is based on the TK chassis powered by a Leyland 0,370 diesel engine. Gross vehicle weight rating of the model is 17 tons.

Bringing the total number of exhibits to 10 are a Bedford/ Hawson 35-cwt. " eas-access " van with a 200-cu.-in. diesel engine, and a TK 5-ton, drop-side lorry with a 220-cu.-in. .engine and factory-built Bedford body.

All the vehicles shown are subject to the extended maintenance intervals now approved by Vauxhall. Lubrication periods are now 6,000 miles or three months, the 2,000and 4,000-mile service intervals being eliminated.
