CONTINENTAL SHOWS DATES are now known for 1965 motor shows on the Continent at which commercial vehicles will be shown. The first will be the Brussels Show from January 20 to 31; the Frankfurt Show will be from September 16 to 26 and the Turin Show from November 3 to 14.

There are still two Continental exhibitions to be held in 1964: the Paris Show (October 1 to 11) and the Turin Show from October 31 to November 11.

The biennial Scottish Motor Show is due to be held next year and November 12 to 20 are the provisional dates, subject to the usual approval.

Volkswagen Changes AS from October the Volkswagen van and derivatives will have a one-ton payload capacity and a 1,500 c.c. petrol engine. This specification was introduced a year ago as an alternative to the 15-cwt., 1200 c.c. models which will cease to be produced from the end of October this year.

A number of improvements will be incorporated for 1965, including improved cab heating, larger wiper blades and a more powerful wiper motor, and the windscreen washers will be standard. There will also be a reduction in price of £30, and as an example the delivery van to the new standard specification will cost £645 against £675.
