• The British Overseas Trade Board has published a booklet designed to help small firms who want to export their goods or services.
Exporting for the Smaller Firm covers researching export markets, deciding on how to get into them and getting the most out of agents. It can be obtained free of charge from the BTOB Publicity Unit, Room 235, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1 OET, phone 01215 5222.
Fifteen awards of 21,500 each are being offered to enable shop-floor and non-managerial employees to travel overseas to see how their company's goods and services are used. The awards are open to all exporting companies in the UK; candidates must be sponsored by their employers who pay the cost of the visit before it is refunded by NatWest Bank, the scheme's supporter.
