FRANCE has tightened its controls on lorries on Sundays, and no longer allows perishable goods loads to move at will.
Under the revised arrangements, no vehicle of over six tonnes gross vehicle weight may move between 8pm Saturday and 8pm Sunday, or on public holidays, unless it is carrying livestock or is returning to its country of origin, but the dispensation for perishable goods has been dropped.
