Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEVILLE CHARROLD's non tipping all-steel semi-trailer offers capacities in excess of 61cum (80cuyd). A "live floor" is included for load discharge which, it is claimed, can be completed in less than three minutes.

A quarter plate floor surmounted by a full-width scraper conveyor and driven by alloy steel chains has been developed to handle heavy bulk materials.

This type of discharge has obvious advantages over that of a standard tipping semi-trailer. Any risk of roll is removed during unloading, lower height restrictions on site can be accommodated, and the maximum body lengths — 12m (40ft) — is available for bulk commodities.

Although the conveyor looks heavier than conventional tipping gear, it would assume less importance should there be an increase in overall weight in the near future.

An aluminium body, able to accept compaction loads, is available and makes a more acceptable alternative.
