Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AFTER a spate of breakdowns due to overheating when vehicles operated 24 hours a day, ICI's Petrochemical Division in Wilton, Cleveland, has equipped its new Seddon Atkinson 400 tractive fleet with Kysom Tempressure engine protection systems.

Out of the 70 vehicles fitted with the systems, serious damage due to overheating has already been prevented in seven cases.

The protection system — monitoring coolant level, temperature and oil pressure — sets oil an alarm if a fault occurs. If no action is then taken, the engine is automatically shut down by an actuator fitted to the fuel-pump control lever.
