AS REPORTED briefly last week. the opening of the new. Covent Garden Market at Vauxhall has been postponed until November 11. Although the site is only about 2.5 miles away from the old site, the Covent Garden Market Authority is concerned that hauliers use the best route available for heavy vehicles.
With the assistance of the police, GLC and Wandsworth Council a single-page route map has been prepared which shows both the long-distance approach routes and also more details of the immediate area.
