AEMBERS of Yorkshire Motor 1VICoach 'Owners, Ltd., which association does not become formally amalgamated with Associated Road Operators until December 1, are continuing to contest the issue as to whether Lancashire operators should t be allowed to operate inclusive tours from Yorkshire towns.
A number of Y.M.C.O. members has appealed against the Yorkshire Commissioners' decision to grant to Mr. Herbert Shearing, of Oldham. licences to operate such tours from Leeds and Bradford. Not long ago, Y.M.C.O. members appealed against the granting to Mr. J. H. Robinson, also of Oldham, of licences to operate inclusive tours from Bradford and Halifax. The result of the appeals has not yet been announced.
BIG STATION FOR BLACKPOOL.
IT is understood that work will begin, this winter, on the rebuilding of the Coliseum Garage and Coach Station, Tyldesley Road, Blackpool, which was acquired, last year, by Blackpool Omnibus Stations, Ltd., from Wright Bros. (Burnley), Ltd. At the time of the purchase, the new proprietary concern announced that it proposed to rebuild the station on the lines of the London Coastal premises. It is hoped
to complete the work by next season.
The station is the leading coach centre in the town, being used by both combine companies and independent operators. On the board of Black-pool Omnibus Stations, Ltd., are wellknown directors of the railwayassociated companies, in Major H. E. Hickmott, and Messrs. W. S. Wreathall, G'. Cardwell, F. J. Chapple and J. S. Wills.
