Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AS from the Commercial Motor Show, all new Carrimorc semi-trailers will incorporate the ingenious coupling described in our issue dated January 18 last, which enables the front part of the semi-trailer to be brought within Ii ins, of the driver's cab. In this way, a. longer body can be obtained without increasing the overall length of the machine, whilst better weight distribution is secured.

With the new method of coupling, patented by Carrimore Six Wheelers, Ltd., High Road, North Finchley, N.12, and Mr. W. E. Herbert, of that concern, the front corners of the body move in an approximately straight line at right angles to the axis of the tractive unit, instead of describing a circle around the king-pin. The operation of the mechanism depends upon the imparting of two motions to the front end of the trailing unit, this object being achieved by the use of two pins working in two slots.
