fiOST striking amongst the features 1V.Iof the 1936 range of Crossley Motors, Ltd., Gorton, Manchester, are the new trolleybus, and the new automatic gear, which will appear at Olympia in a double-decker chassis. The trolleybus and gear are fully described elsewhere in this issue.
On the goods side, there is the recently introduced 6-ton tractor, based principally upon the design of the Delta oil-enginecl chassis. The machine has a four-cylindered engine with the Ricardo swirl-chamber type of injection system. Amongst the features of this power unit, which is rated at 22.49 h.p., are a five-bearing crankshaft and renewable cylinder liners. Marelli servo equipment is incorporated in the braking system.
The wheelbase is 10 ft. and the track 5 ft. 6 ins., whilst, even with the spacious cab provided, there is a clear length of 3 ft. 81 ins, from the
