C.M.U.A. Potteries Campaign.

Branches of the Commercial Motor Users Association in the Five Towns of the Potteries (Burslem, Hanley, Longton, Newcastle and Stoke) are planned by Mr. S. Preece, organizer for the Manchester and Liverpool areas. An inaugural meeting, to which hauliers, ancillary users and others are invited, has been arranged to take place at the Albion Hotel, Hanley, on Monday, November 18, commencing at 7.30 p.m. It is stated that there is a considerable proportion of unorganized hauliers in the area concerned. .

London-Manchester Rates.

We have been asked by Mr. H. H. West Riding to Spend £.4716,000 on

The Ministry of Transport has decided to allocate, for the financial year 1935-5, £409,610 for the maintenance and improvement of roads and the maintenance of bridges in the area of West Riding County Council. This contribution is in respect of a total estimated expenditure (excluding special works of £715,564.
