Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

If Your System is Right Your Motor Vehicle Will Advertise Your Business.

Find out what your drivers are doiri,g.. Is petrol or electric cuirent being wasted, is mileage being wasted, are your vehicles standing idle for an undue length of time, does loading or unloading delay them, are the vehicles working on schedule, are you emplbying suitable schedules, are your loading facilities out of date, is your lorry being hindered at goods depots, is your cost-keeping correct, is your perform ance figuring right ? _ _ Having investigated these factors you are in a position to decide whether your judgment is bad, your vehicle bad, your driver' bad, or your business methods bad.

In making the above-Mentioned examinations and calculations, the fact, whether or not your vehicles are extending and advertising your business should not be forgotten. It does not matter a bit what salesmen say about the advertising value of a motor vehicle ; , some ignore it, shine over-value it—the happy medium is rarely hit. Your motor vehicle is your best possible advertising medium if you are running it efficiently, because it gives satisfaction to customers, and there is no better advertisetaent than that. But the advertising value of a motor vehicle as a motor vehicle is not as much these days as it once was. The important point is that the horse vehicle is a bad advertisement ; it points out that you are hot up-to-date. It goes slow. • Your motor vehicle is transportation mechanized ; what you have to do is to systematize your mechanism. Your system, if it is the right one, will find the paying line of your vehicle. If you keep it on that, line, your vehicle will pay-; if you are going to the left or rights-you are going to lose. The work a motor vehicle is capable of doing in one day-depends upon the amount of mileage you can get but of it, how much it can carry, and the number of its loading and unloading operations.
