BPW is offering unlimited mileage warranties for up to eight years on its new [co Plus trailer axles.

Five-year warranties come as standard on all Eco Plus axles used an-road, with an extra three years available if

yearly checks are carried out by a BPW authorised mechanic.

Although there are relatively few autho

rised garages able to Torque limiter in spindle nut. carry out the checks at

present. BPW says these numbers will increase.

Axles destined for off-road use come with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty.

Warranty covers air suspension systems, BPW air-steered axles and both disc and drum braked axles. Exclusions include natural wear of parts and faulty maintenance.

BPW says it is able to offer the warranties because of new developments including the use of larger bearings and an improved sealing system. A new spindle nut with a torque limiter is also central to the warranties and ensures virtually fault free maintenance, says BPW.

The cost of the new axles is still a little unclear; managing partner Michael Pfeiffer says BPW needs to discuss the matter with customers but he expects a premium of around DM90 per axle, just £29.
