THE BATTLE for Crane Fruehauf entered a new phase last week when t Fruehauf Corporation America raised its bid fa the 66 per cent of the company that it does ncii. own, to 90p a share.
It tops the bid of the Inchcape group by Op 4 and that bid has been recommended for accept, ance by the British Crane board, but Crane share0 closed at 93p at one poinil last week.
