I am an hgv mechanic who works for a firm which runs 10 antic tippers. Last week I went on to the M1 at Leeds to fit a new rear nearside hub and bearings on a trailer. The job was completed in two hours and the outfit was on its way.
How would the breakdown crew with heavy lifting gear tow away the trailer with 20 tons of coal in the box? A roadside repair would be necessary as far as I could see.
