December 6 at the Park Hotel, Cardiff, should be a place worth visiting. Three officials from_the D of Tpt will meet the operators that night to discuss -The Certificate of Professional Competence and its relation to admission to the occupation of road haulage operator and road transport operator-. Why did they change it from TML?
The meeting is sponsored by CIT; IRTE; IOTA; RHA; FTA; RTITB; CBRPT; and will be chaired by R. R. Jackson, the South Wales LA.
January 1, 1978, when the regulation governing the CPC comes into effect, is not too far away and I would expect that secretary John Vickers' invitation to all interested parties to attend might easily tax the facilities of the Park Hotel.
