Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SIX-WHEELED versions of the Bedford KM, plated for 20 and 22 tons gross weight, are now being offered by the Primrose Third Axle Co. Ltd., Ewood, Blackburn, Lancs. Adequate power is available from the KM engine at this weight; the KM is available as a tractive unit for 22 tons g.t.w. Cost of the Primrose conversion is £745 and increase in unladen weight is 22 cwt. The range of Bedford KM/Primrose sixwheelers consists of seven models with wheelbases allowing body lengths from 16 ft. 30, in. to 29 ft. The axle added by Primrose has a 5 in.-diameter tube and is equipped with 15.5 in. by 7 in. cam brakes. Primrose Hi-Lift load transfer equipment can be incorporated in the four-spring suspension system as an optional extra. This comprises air bellows above the suspension balance beams and when in use an extra 2 tons is imposed on the driving axle to improve traction if wheel slip is experienced. As is usual with Primrose conversions the chassis frame is reinforced by a full-length 12 in.-deep channel pressing.
