MPs who were hoping to learn when bus operators will obtain a refund of last July's higher petrol tax were disappointed in the Commons last week.
Opposition spokesman on transport Mr. Peter Walker had asked for a date, but all he got from Mr. Stephen Swingler, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, was: "As soon as the necessary Parliamentary authority has been obtained".
