L'OLLOWING an announcement in the I Commons on Monday by Mr. Selwyn Lloyd, Chancellor of the Exchequer, that the Government would not oppose the bid for the remaining shares in the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., by the American Ford concern (which already holds 54 per cent. of them), the English Ford directors have announced that they anticipate, at the appropriate time, recommending shareholders to accept the American offer.
