QEVERAL applications were granted at is-) a sitting of the Scottish Licensing Authority at Edinburgh on Monday. William Dobson (Edinburgh), Ltd., asked for a variation of their A licence to allow two articulated units. Mr. W. F. Quin granted the application on hearing that special-type tankers with no return loads were involved.
An application by John Kelly (Fish Curers), Ltd., to modify their existing B licence whereby one vehicle of five tons would be replaced by two smaller vehicles was granted by Mr. Quin.
An application for a new B licence for two vehicles to deliver miners' coal was granted to A. and C. Johnston, of Tullibody.
