Andrew Bayliss, who runs AB Skip Hire in Darlaston, West Midlands, admitted to Solihull magistrates last week that he had no 0-licence or Vehicle Excise Duty and his driver had no HGV licence.

Last February Bayliss told the Vehicle Inspectorate that he had only bought the truck two days beforehand, but he had admitted not checking the driver's licence.

The driver has been charged with driving without a licence; his case will be heard at Solihull on 31May.
