• Truck driving test candidates will have to give 10 working days' notice if they want to receive a kill refund of the £62.50 test fee (280 weekends) after they cancel, says the Driving Standards Agency. The change will apply from next Monday (29 May).

• Caledonian MacBrayne has dismissed stories that a 16th century prophet, Kenneth Mackenzie, foretold that the ferry the Isle of Lewis, will sink. MacBrayne says it has no intention of changing the name of its newest ferry.
