a tractor and a JCB excavator in a jousting contest to settle a long-standing argument, landed in court last week.
The row on a Clwyd building site started when John Hayes built a mound next to Michael Roberts' garage, to separate it from the building work. When Roberts allegedly drove into the offending heap, he was caught "red-wheeled" and the battle commenced.
Charges of assault and damage against Hayes were withdrawn when he agreed to be bound over for 12 months in the sum of 2200.
Roberts denied assault and his case was adjourned.
