We are staging a mock traffic court to prepare delegates for a visit to the LA. Charles Arnold-Baker, Eastern Deputy LA will preside, John Backhouse and Michael Gotelee, both well-known solicitors in the traffic courts, will argue the case and a wellknown, but as yet anonymous, operator will appear as the applicant.

Richard Graham, from Ashridge Training College, will open the afternoon session on the thorny subject of training.

Pat Lowry, once of British Leyland and now chairman of Acas, the conciliation service, has agreed to discuss the machinery for wage negotiations and talk about Acas.

The final session is a manufacturer and suppliers' panel, representing Daf Trucks, Mercedes-Benz, Seddon Atkinson, Foden and TIP.
