GOVERNMENT plans for the future of the State-owned businesses, including the National Freight Corporation, were showing signs of a turnaround from the pre-election ideas.
It now seems that the Government is considering selling off parts of the NFC as complete businesses instead of selling shares in the NFC, as was originally thought.
A week before the election, Transport Minister Norman Fowler told CM in an interview that the Tories planned to maintain the NFC group and sell shares in the holding company on the open market.
But Government statement: this week indicate that parcel: of State-owned companief may be sold off instead 0. being given "the BP solution.'
